Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Scriven, on the web and on the iPad app. By signing in, you agree to them.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for what happens under it. You need to be at least 13 to use Scriven, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Use it honestly

Use Scriven for writing that’s yours to make. Don’t use it to sign anything, to pass off someone else’s handwriting as yours, or to break any law. If you’re a student, Scriven is for studying and checking your work: you’re responsible for following your school’s and your course’s rules on academic integrity, collaboration and what you hand in.

Your content

What you upload and the pages Scriven writes for you are yours. You give us permission to store and process them only as needed to run Scriven for you. Only upload material you have the right to use.

Your handwriting

Your hands are yours. We use your handwriting samples only to write for you, never to write for anyone else. Only add handwriting that is your own, or that you have permission to use.

No guarantees on what it writes

Scriven checks its work, but it can still make mistakes. What it writes is provided as is; check anything that matters.

The service

We’re always improving Scriven, so features may change or be removed. Scriven is provided “as is”, without warranties, and to the extent the law allows we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it.

Ending things

You can stop using Scriven and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service or break these terms.

Changes

If we change these terms we’ll update the date at the top, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
